Purchased these shoes via Amazon and was promptly directed to a 3rd party seller for order processing. Shoes arrived ahead of schedule, very good service by Midwest Express. Reviews indicated to buy a half size smaller in a number of cases, some, of course, were 'perfect fit'. I had never had any issues with fit in terms of cleats, running shoes or trainers - always order actual size, especially with Asics.....I was very much anticipating liking this shoe for stability, the sock liner feature and overall wear. I recognize these were tennis shoes and felt it would be a cross trainer for me to walk, row and lift weights with....not for running. Shoes have a hard, durable, rubber coating that was very cold as the shoes must have been on tarmacs and in UPS trucks/buildings since shipping the same day. They were rigid from the cold, despite this I tried them on and they were snug and I settled into them on carpet only - the reviews were spot on as the shoes were a half size (at least) too large and toe box was a little narrow. I expected some break-in and I waited another day or so for the rubber to warm up in the house and be more pliable. Once the shoes were on again, I could see how tennis players would appreciate them in terms of stability and wear points, full price of $165 requires more for me (why other colors of the same shoe were discounted nearly $30, I don't know) - my feet did settle into them, however, the size was incorrect and I have bought upwards of 25-30 pairs of Asics and Mizuno shoes with no size issues (includes some Brooks shoes too). I may revisit purchasing them again or similar down the road. I have some foot issues that require comfort and stability and wanted this shoe to be the answer. The sock liner in other shoes (like this one) is difficult to put on and off - however, the benefits are greater than the difficulty in getting them on. The shoes are rigid, however, necessary for high performance wear....will continue searching. 'Order a half size smaller', I cannot believe I am typing these words - my high arch, traditional men's size 11 foot required it - it almost felt I could go to a size 10. Now, I returned the shoes (never did that before) to Midwest Sports because the return processes indicated I do so on the Amazon website....chatting with Midwest Sports support, they said to return to Amazon....this ought to be good to try and receive a refund to my Amazon store card. Note to self, go to the stores to try on in future. I tried to be a modern consumer.....lesson learned. For a $180 shoe, I should probably try it on first. But I never have had any problem with 9.5 size, ever. Until now. It's about 1/8 of an inch longer than my other 9.5's, and I tried all kinds of precision measurements from the inside of the shoe. Yep. It's long. So you might want to check that first. So this beautiful shoe is a little clown footy on me. Like walking in scuba fins. Other than that, the shoe definitely has a little character. Always starts out a little stiff with the insole sleeve portion, and then loosens up fine. Maybe the heat softens it. The shoe has one of the best cushioning systems ever. Very comfortable. But the length issue and outer front of shoe are stiff. So I don't feel like dancing in them. A little heavy too.Ive been wearing the shoes for the past four daily 1.5-2 hour matches. They run on the large side. Im a 10.5, but i probably should have gotten a 10.Pros:Its clear that the shoe will hold up for a long time as the plastic shell offers a ton of stability. You really feel the court and quick response to sudden direction changes are noticeable even with the bit of toe room.Cons:The stitching on the internal mono sock is quite rough (possibly for durability?) and will rub skin off the top and sides of your feet if you wear no-show socks as i have for many years. This isn't a deal breaker, but i had to buy a bunch of new socks after my first match.El tamaño perfecto y muy comodosI have played two matches with this shoe and I'm a 12 wide but a 12 1/2. My bad because the shoe is true to size which makes the shoe a little long. But the operation of the shoe is great!Bought a size 12 but shoe runs at least a half size big. Had to return, but would have kept if it was the right fit. No other size available now.Very comfortable fit. The only issue is the flexing on the upper material at the toe bend. May resolve itself after break in period. Nice feature of not having a togue to worry about. The negative side a bit high priced.Great shoe. Was happy I could get the right size and even with a slight discounthave In blue and purchased this one too... Great.. and comfortableAn den engen Einstieg muß man sich erst gewöhnen, dafür sitzt der Schuh wie angegossen.Love the fit! Great product and fast shipping. Thanks.
