good sport shoes made in ChinaI run roughly 80 miles a week at about a 7:10mi average. I'm also a 1:20 Half marathoner, shooting for a sub 2:50 marathon. My hope was this would be my long run shoe, to replace my pegasus on the cheap. The build quality on this shoe is really good for how much it cost. It has an engineered mesh upper that's made for wider feet. It will buckle if your feet are medium or narrow as a result of tightening the laces. The shoe weighs 242g for a US size 8 (EU 41), which is on par with the HOKA Cliftons. The cushion is pretty soft and seems to put up with the abuse. Despite this, I only put 10 miles on this shoe before returning it. Why? The heel-toe offset is really high. I can't find any numbers, but my guess is that it's beyond 10mm. Most shoes that I run in (HOKA Clifton 8, Mach 4, New Balance Beacon, etc.) with the exception of the Nike Pegasus 34 are between a 4 and 6mm drop. This shoe feels like you're always on your toes, and it strains my calves. The combination with the probar insert makes for an odd ride. Also, the laces are obscenely long. It's missing the extra eyelet you get in a lot of performance shoes to prevent heel slipping, which was a minor problem given the probar.If you're a heel striker, this shoe might be for you. I reckon that this would be the perfect long run shoe, if not for the large drop. The shoe itself is relatively stable, with stack probably 35mm in the back and ~24mm in the front (my best guess). Overall, it's a good shoe, but the drop is too aggressive for megood qualityAfter my 5 miles test run with those shoes, I am really in love them. Those shoes are light weight, very comfortable, and they are only 1/3 of the price of my last pair Nike! Oh boy, they are good looking, too.I am coming back for more!
