I bought this product to be a multi-purpose shoe for a range of activities such as running the dogs in our local park, day hikes/runs through the natural areas around our city, and hiking portions of the Appalachian Trail.I would absolutely recommend this shoe for the first two, but would warn against thinking its going to be stable enough for the third. I'm really satisfied with the use I'm getting out of it, so I'm overall really happy I bought them.Positives:- Super comfortable for a walk or a day hike- The tread is deep and the base of the shoe seems really durable, so these should last me a really long time- They're the type of hiking/trail running shoe that doesn't look bulky and awkward like some low rise hiking footwear- They're a good balance of lightweight, but sturdy construction.Negatives- As mentioned above, they have the appearance of a tennis shoe, and this limits their functionality as a stable enough shoe for hiking anything strenuous. Other hiking/trail running shoes I've tried provide more stability and have more bulk to them that allowed me to use them for longer, more difficult hikes. As long as you're not planning on doing any of this and just using them for trail running and light hiking, they're perfect.
