Celebrating the 30th anniversary of the GEL-LYTE III OG running shoe, the sneaker emerges once again with its original shape and construction that it featured in the early 90s. Designed by Shigeyuki Mitsui in 1990, the GEL-LYTE III OG silhouette incorporates a split-tongue application that was originally inspired by the GEL-LD RACER shoe. Reappearing in an assortment of OG colorways, this shoe also features a suede and leather construction. Additionally, the shoe incorporates its signature GEL technology cushioning unit in the heel to improve shock absorption and help deliver lasting comfort.
As usual the package arrived securely and on time. I usually only write reviews on the actual product without taking shipping into consideration. With that being said , I have only worn the sneakers for about an hour but they fit comfortable out of the box. The toe box is a bit narrow, something for people with wider feet to consider.The shoe itself is pretty light and looks nice. It is in the color way as described. I saw that as a complaint in a few other reviews so, they must have corrected that issue. I had a pair of ASICS Gel Lyte III before and it’s par for the course. Keep in mind these have the mesh toe box and I assume has more give and breath ability than those with the leather/faux leather toe box, something to keep in mind, again for people with wider feet especially. Overall, I’m satisfied with the shoes and think that they’re fairly priced.
